This log building was originally located in Fairplay on 2nd and Main. It was built around 1860, and it was one of the few to survive the 1873 fire. Robert Kashka donated the barn in 1985. It was dismantled, moved, and then rebuilt on site. It originally belonged to the Rost family, who was one of the early pioneer families of Fairplay. It provided shelter for the family's small dairy herd. Examples of tack, farm machinery, and agricultural tools can be seen inside the barn.
